Merino Wool Sweaters & Cardigans – Handcrafted in Latvia
Merino wool is one of the finest natural fibres available — softer than standard wool, naturally breathable, and remarkably versatile across seasons. Our merino wool sweaters and cardigans are handcrafted in Latvia, knitted piece by piece from premium merino yarn.
Why merino wool?
Merino wool fibres are significantly finer than regular wool, which means they sit softly against the skin without itching. The fibre naturally regulates temperature — keeping you warm in cooler weather and comfortable when it's mild. It also wicks moisture away from the skin and is naturally odour-resistant, making it one of the most practical natural materials for knitwear.
How to care for merino wool
Hand washing is the safest method. Use lukewarm water (30°C) with a mild detergent for delicates, soak for 10 minutes, and gently press out the water without wringing. If machine washing, use the wool or delicate cycle at 30°C with the lowest spin speed available. Always dry flat on a towel — never on a hanger. Each piece in our merino wool collection is made on a manual knitting machine by skilled craftswomen in Latvia. This means every sweater and cardigan is made with attention to detail that mass production simply cannot replicate — consistent tension, careful finishing, and a fit that holds its shape over time.
